1. Who operates Gochi

Gochi is operated by Imre Nagi, an individual based in Indonesia. References to “Gochi,” “we,” or “us” in this policy refer to that service.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

Email address, display name, profile photo, sign-in provider, and account identifiers. Password authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; Gochi does not receive your password.

Learning information

Lesson activity, vocabulary lists, review and mastery state, practice history, preferences, submissions, feedback, and other progress associated with your account.

Content you provide

Text, photos, voice input, speaking recordings, and conversation messages you choose to submit through learning, chat, or feedback features.

Subscription information

App Store product, transaction, entitlement, renewal, restoration, and purchase-account records needed to provide and support subscription access. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Technical and usage information

Device and app details, product interactions, analytics identifiers, crash reports, diagnostics, security signals, and app-integrity results.

You may explore supported parts of Gochi as a Guest Learner. Guest learning state is generally kept on your device unless a feature needs the service or you create an account.

3. How we use information

Provide the service

Authenticate accounts, load lessons, save and sync learning state, generate feedback, operate chat and speech features, and restore subscription access.

Protect and maintain Gochi

Prevent misuse, validate app integrity, diagnose failures, provide support, and maintain the reliability of the service.

Understand and improve the product

Measure how features perform and improve Gochi’s learning experience, content, and operations.

Meet recordkeeping needs

Maintain transaction, security, support, and legal records where reasonably necessary.

4. AI, speech, and service providers

Content submitted to AI-assisted, photo, chat, pronunciation, or speech features may be sent to AI or speech-processing providers to produce the result you request, prevent abuse, and operate those features. Some transcription or device features may also be processed by Apple or on your device.

Gochi also uses service providers that may include Google Firebase for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and app-integrity signals; Apple for App Store distribution and purchases; and infrastructure, hosting, and storage providers. These providers process information for their services under their applicable terms and privacy practices.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share information with service providers only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, or improve Gochi. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, preserve learning and subscription records, meet legal or security needs, resolve disputes, and support requests. Retention periods can differ by type of information and service provider.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

Guest access

Use supported parts of Gochi without creating an account.

Profile and account

Update supported profile details, recover your password through the authentication flow, or contact us about account access.

Learning and chat data

Use available in-app controls to remove supported chat sessions or reset supported learning state.

Privacy request

Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. Some records may be retained where reasonably required for security, transactions, disputes, or legal obligations.

Analytics and advertising measurement

We use analytics and advertising measurement tools—including Google Analytics (Firebase) and Meta Business Tools (Meta Pixel and Conversions API)—to understand how learners discover and use Gochi, measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and improve our product, plans, and outreach.

When you visit our website or interact with our ads, Gochi and third-party partners such as Meta and Google may use cookies, pixels, click identifiers (such as _fbp, _fbc, and utm_* parameters), and similar technologies to collect or receive technical and usage information from your browser or device (such as pages visited, session activity, browser information, and confirmed subscription purchase time, value, currency, and transaction identifiers). We use this information to measure ad performance, attribute subscription conversions, and deliver more relevant ads. We never share your private learning content, chat messages, voice recordings, email address, or phone number with advertising networks through these measurement tools.

In the iOS app, analytics and attribution services may receive app activation, feature usage, and eligible confirmed purchase events (including value and currency, an anonymous installation identifier, and app/device metadata) to help us evaluate product and campaign performance. We do not collect Apple’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA). You can manage or limit cookies and ad personalization at any time through your browser settings, your Meta or Google ad preferences, or industry opt-out controls (such as aboutads.info/choices).

8. Children and students

Gochi is a general learning service and may be used by students. If you are not able to agree to this policy on your own, use Gochi only with permission from a parent or guardian.

9. International processing

Gochi and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy and data-protection rules can differ between those locations.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Gochi changes. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
